The perfect part appearance explains Xavier's superb metal surface treatment technology
Aluminum & aluminum alloys, anodized
Anodizing is the process of generating decorative and protective films on the surface of aluminum and its alloys. In principle, the process of forming an oxide film on aluminum is actually an electrochemical reaction in which an electric current passes through a suitable electrolyte at a sufficient voltage to form a porous oxide film layer on the aluminum surface. Anodizing, if not specified, usually refers to sulfuric acid anodizing.

Xavier Anodizing Capability
- Base material: aluminum and aluminum alloy
- Reference standard: MIL-A-8625F
- Film thickness range
Plating type | I、IB、IC、ПB | ll | lll |
Thickness range (μm) | 0.5~17.8 | 1.78~25.4 | 12.7~114.3 |
- Other process treatments: sandblasting, chemical sandblasting, chemical polishing, shielding and plugging of holes
- Dyeing: commonly used black, blue, red, golden yellow (customized dyeing according to customer requirements)
- Maximum processing size: 230*45*110(cm)
- Maximum weight per piece: 300 (kg)
- Test Methods: Eddy current tester film thickness test, paint adhesion test, film weight test, corrosion resistance test, light resistance test, abrasion resistance test, insulation test
- The hardness of anodic oxide layer is higher than that of aluminum and aluminum alloy. Hard anodic oxide layer has higher hardness due to lower porosity than ordinary anodic oxidation, so the hardness of hard anodic oxidation is higher, and the general reference hardness range is as follows.

Anodizing special process - sandblasting
Xavier has mature sandblasting and anti-sandblasting processes and technical capabilities to implement overall or partial sandblasting plating on the same product with steel parts, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, copper alloy, zinc alloy, etc. as the base material.
Sandblasting process is to use compressed air as the driving force, in order to form a high-speed jet beam will be sand abrasive high-speed jet to the need to deal with the surface of the workpiece, so that the surface of the workpiece changes. Due to the impact and cutting effect of the abrasive on the surface of the workpiece, the surface of the workpiece obtains a certain degree of cleanliness and different roughness, so that the mechanical properties of the surface of the workpiece can be improved, so as to improve the fatigue resistance of the workpiece, increase the adhesion between it and the coating, and prolong the durability of the coating, which is also conducive to the leveling of the coatings and the decoration.
Local anti-sandblasting refers to the same product for the same product has precision size parts or need local special decorative part does not need sandblasting, and take methods to shield so that it is not sandblasted process, for local anti-sandblasting protection to provide solutions.
Special requirements for oxidation - secondary oxidation
The same product is oxidized with two different surface treatments (with two or more colors) to meet the needs of the designer and to achieve the performance of the product. For example, CNC machined aluminum parts used in consumer electronics will be oxidized with a variety of different colors of oxidized surfaces.

Anodizing Special Requirements - Localized Cedric 650
The same product on the use of two different methods of surface treatment (including two or more processes), in order to meet the needs of the designer and to achieve the performance of the product. Such as: the need to do Sedex 650 treatment of the surface of the use of insulating materials first masking, oxidation and then remove the masking material for the second chemical conversion film treatment, in order to improve the product’s insulation and local conductivity.
functionality
- Chemical conversion film, is localized to achieve good conductivity off widely used in precision electronics industry
- Non-conductive surfaces with good abrasion and corrosion resistance so that other properties are not affected
